The Studio · Press

Press.

For journalists, editors, and the merely curious. We are happy to talk; we are happier to talk slowly.

§01 · The Studio's Policy

What we comment on; what we don't.

The studio is, on the whole, willing to talk to journalists. We are most useful for pieces about the work itself — the buttons, the lines, the dots; the slow practice; the scriptorium. We are least useful for pieces about "the future of design" as a category.

We do not, as a matter of studio policy, comment on awards we have submitted to but not won. We do not comment on awards we have won until at least one calendar quarter has passed. We acknowledge that this makes us, occasionally, a difficult quote.

§03 · The Press Kit

Materials available on request.

The press kit contains a studio brief, principal photography of the studio space (without Walter, who declines to be photographed), high-resolution renderings of each artifact, and a small bibliography. We do not, at this time, offer a downloadable copy. Each kit is sent on request, by return.
